Why Choose Erica As Your Custom Jewelry Designer...

Erica's StoryWhen professional certification matters, no other jeweler in the area can boast Erica’s credentials. In fact, as of 2014, there are 410 jewelers nationwide and only 7 in Arizona that successfully earned these certifications. Of these, only 20% are Master Goldsmiths.
Erica's StoryErica has been awarded the Centurion Emerging Designer award she shared with two other internationally renowned custom jewelry designers; Hector Hassey with offices in New York City and Mexico City, and Tom Rucker whose offices are in London and Munich. Erica received her trophy on February 3rd, 2015 in Scottsdale AZ., for her bi-color Tourmaline and diamond ring you see on this page.
"I was beyond elated to have won such a prestigious award, and recognized on the world stage of jewelry design. And it is certainly one of the proudest moments of my career. I feel extremely fortunate and humbled to have won the Centurion Jewelry award."
Erica's StoryErica's credentials as a GIA Graduate Gemologist, AGS Certified Gemologist Appraiser, and master Goldsmith place her amongst one of only 80 in North America. Her passion has always been sourcing the world’s finest gemstones and creating beautiful, heirloom quality custom jewelry in collaboration with her clients. She recently launched her own line of jewelry entitled "Exclusively Erica" designs, and is a proud member of the American Gem Society.

Erica's JOURNEY

Erica's StorySanchez Hawkins Fine Jewelers was started by a young girl who loved gemstones. As she got older, Erica wanted to keep the stones closer to her, so she began making silver wrapped jewelry. She soon discovered that she wanted to learn as much as she could about anything related to gemstones and jewelry and sought out opportunities for apprenticeship as a goldsmith. She soaked it up like a sponge and enrolled in the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
While studying at GIA, she worked in a few local jewelry stores. She finally earned her Graduate Gemologist title in the spring of 2000.
Erica's StoryIt was her desire to open her own store and with the respect of many loyal customers, her dreams would soon become a reality. Eventually, she was joined by her husband Steve, a GIA Diamonds Graduate, in 2005. Nearly 15 years later and a thriving store in southeastern Wisconsin they had an opportunity to move to warmer climates and purchase an existing business which landed them in Lake Havasu City AZ in 2016.
